Abstract
Tumor can be recognized by the immune system the witnessed extraordinary advances in our understanding of tumor-host interactions. Here, we review evidence supporting the double role of the adaptive immune system in exerting both host-protecting tumor-shaping actions. We will then some of the molecular mechanisms of the adaptive immune response tumor to grow in an immonocompetent host, along with strategies that can potentially overcome the ability of the tumor to evade the immune system.
